Overview
I've taken this kettle on the trail several times now and aside from the two Cons listed below I have no other complaints. It's great for backpackers looking to lighten their cook kit and keep things simple. If all you need is a vessel to boil water in, then this is for you! It does the job well and takes up a very limited amount of space.
Pros
Lightweight and compact. Kettle can easily be wedged between other gear in your pack.
Takes about 6.5 minutes to boil 500 mL on a standard backpacking stove.
Wide mouth makes it easy to clean the inside.
Ideal for preparing coffee and dehydrated meals.
Cons
Mouth is not wide enough to nest a fuel canister inside. Smaller items like a stove, lighter, and fire starters will fit.
Lining up the notches on the underside of the lid can be tricky at first.
